How it works

SunCentral’s approach to natural daylight illumination of buildings incorporates three components. The first is an innovative solar collection array that is installed on the sunny side of the building. The array captures and concentrates sunlight into a concentrated beam.

The second component is a light guide that directs the concentrated sunlight from the capture array to the desired location within the building. The light guide makes use of advanced optical films to minimize losses in transmission.

The third component is a hybrid light fixture where natural light is extracted using prismatic film. It is also equipped with conventional fluorescent lamps to provide conventional lighting when natural daylight is not available.
